Pleasant aromas of almonds and fresh butter. Flowery notes develop along the palate. Aromatic, fine, and refreshing. Long finish.
Mâconnais is the land of Chardonnay, 80% of the area is planted with this grape. Mâcon-Chaintré is a regional growing specified region, southwest of Mâcon, surrounding the village of Chaintré. The ground where this wine is grown is sandy and contains lime and chalk.
The Cave de Chaintré was founded in 1928 and merged with the Cave de Juliénas in 2013. The cooperation is relatively small, with only 200 hectares.
