Goldene Medaille Burgondia 2019
Lovely aromas of pear, mirabelle, and white peach. Good balance between being full bodied and fresh. Elegant finish, with toasted notes and minerality.
White wine production is very old in Lachassagne Castle. Many awards and medals in the early twentieth confirm this. They had always very good reputation. They were produced for a while under the name “Beaujolais blanc” but Burgundian trading that bought them, folded them in “Bourgogne” appellation. We have old Chardonnay vineyards (1934, 1976, 1982 ...) but have also replanted large areas over the past decade. They allow us to produce the AOC “Bourgogne” and “Crémant de Bourgogne”. The BOURGOGNE CHARDONNAY 2014 of Lachassagne Castle is vinified in tanks for 90 % and in oak barrels for 10%.
