AOC Chateauneuf du Pape
Dark ruby red color. Elegant nose of wild berries, with pepper and cinnamon notes. Strong, full bodied, and a bit spicey (thyme). Velvety aromas of stewed cherry. Elegant finish.
Chateauneuf du Pape is in the south of the Rhone Valley, around the ruins of the papal sommer palaces. This is a region that is know for its special terrior.
Chateau de Vaudieu is one of the selten larger vineyards in Chateauneuf du Pape, with over 70 hectars. Vaudieu, short for Val de Dieu, means god's valley, and lies in a protected sunny valley. Vines have been growning here for over 250 years.

Wonderful with rack of lamb, strong cheeses (Livarot or Maroilles).
