Pleasant aromas of ripe black berries. Along the palate aromas of thyme and rosemary develop. In the long full bodied velvety finish will be notes of liqurioce wood.
The Rhone Valley is one of the oldest wine regions in France and the second largest producers of fine wines, after Bordeaux. Although the Rhone Valley has always been known for its wine, in the last years its reputation has seen a huge jump. The Rhone Valley was certified in 1937 as an AOC wine region. 96% of their wines are red. The northern Rhone Valley, with its continental climate only grows one red grape, Syrah.
The Clos des Lumiéres was founded in 1946, by the great grand father Gerald Serrano, and has over 50 hectares, between Avignon and Nîmes along the river Gardon.
