A sparkling gold colour. Elegant aromas of dried apricots, white flowers, and honey. Wonderful balance between freshness and full bodiedness. Sweet, but not heavy.
The Anjou region is located in the Loire Valley, south of Angers. The land if flat, with many rivers running through it. Anjou is know for its sweet wines, especially the dessert wine Coteaux du Layon.
The Domaine des Trottières was founded in 1890 and has over 108 hectares. It is located near Thouarcé, close to the Layon river, which is one of the best locations.

This wine is wonderful when served as an apertif, with duck liver paté, warm goat cheese, or figs with honey. It is also wonderful alone, evenings while sitting on the terrase.
