AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu
Grenache rouge 60%
Garnet red. Promising nose of small red berries, with spicy note of thyme and rosemary. Full bodied and well balanced. Smooth tannins. Liquorice in the long velvety finish.
Plan de Dieu, god's valley, was recognized in 1937 as AOC Côtes du Rhône and in 1983 as AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages. In 2004 it was reconginzed as AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu.
Julien Martin started with 5 hectars in 1905. Today the vineyard has over 70 hectars and is still be run by the Martin family.
